Phyllis Dorothy Kromer, age 86, residing in Sandusky, died early Wednesday morning at Providence Care Center following a lengthy illness. Phyllis was born on January 16, 1926 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Rupert and Anna (Baumgarten) Heidl. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School. Phyllis was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Sandusky. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Phyllis is survived her four daughters, Lee Ann Jones of Pembrook Pines, FL, Pamela Kromer and Beth Kromer, both of Sandusky, and Ann (Michael) Entyre of Bethel, PA; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Carol (Tom) Swint, of Chicago, IL. Including her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband of 57 years Leo A. Kromer in 2005 whom she married September 8, 1948; a daughter, Peggy in 1969, and two sons, Ron in 1998, and David in 2009. Friends will be received on Friday, August 10 from 6-8 p.m. in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 am on Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, with Fr.
